'Tis a gentle white rose
As rare as they come;
At first the petals prosper,
Then wither, leaving none.
We are all born as a rose,
All gentle, pure, and plain;
We are all beautiful,
But we all can hide our pain.
The rose will soon blossom,
And then it will shine,
For all to see and for all to awe,
But not lasting for all time.
Our lives are like the petals,
They fall and soon decay,
But unlike normal flowers
This one shall not bloom in May.
The petals fall down more,
And they continue to fall;
Soon, what shall be left?
The answer: nothing at all.
And as we lay ourselves down
For one final repose,
Here endeth the life
Of the innocent rose.
How much does he know
And how much does he care
Does he know I'm here
As I know he's there?
Quietly I make my peace
With the celestial ones above
I whisper my prayers out
To the sweet quiet air.
Oh how wondrous love can be
Yet so hurried in its passing
Such serene beauty can quiet
The thunder of the world.
Loud and disturbing
Is the angst of daily life
Each day unrolled
From the hindrance curled.
Hear me, hear my prayer
Listen to my plea
Please, let him be there.
Let him know how much
My love for him grows
This love, what love such
No other thing can know
Nor comprehend thus
Only I can show
How much I yearn for us
And so I bid to him
To have a Merry Christmas.
Broken down and torn am I
Vanished has my id.
Horrid is the pain
Left from all that which I did.
Discover the monster within
The creature that yearns to be free
A wonderful heart in a blackened soul
Covered eyes that cannot see.
Hold me back no more
Release the blackness from my soul
Clear the pain within my heart
Help me make myself whole.
What have you done to support me?
When have you ever cared?
When was the lsat time you said, "I love you"?
And released my soul from within your lair?
Let me go and let me be
Release your grip upon my heart
Let me fly and let me flee
Let me go and let us part.
All I've wanted my whole life
Is the warmth and care of another.
Someone to love and who loves me
A love that's like no other.
Find me the one to love me
The one for whom I can love and care
Help me, please, I beg of you.
This is my plea, so be not scared.
Upon that path you must take some dirt
To keep all that you love,
And take even more dirt still
When the push comes to shove.
More often than not we all shall find
The world as an empty shell,
But within ourselves we will always see
A void with love stocked well.
Bright and beautiful love
Why keep you out of my sight?
Come closer, out of the darkness,
Step into my light.
Allow me to embrace you
Hold you near me always
Let me keep you in my heart
Throughout the rest of my days.
Leave me shall you never
Run from me and you I'll find,
Desert me in my time of need
Love, must you be so unkind?
In my arms you will find
A space which longs to be filled,
With love so dear and forever
My loneliness shall be killed.
Talk to me, dear friend,
Tell me of your woes,
True friend, open up
Let your misery show.
Stay here in my arms
I'll shelter you from the pain
I'll take the blows life offers you
And has made your life mundane.
Let me in, I want to help
Open your door, I want to be in.
Welcome me and come to me
Let me help you make that frown a grin.
Here, my shoulder is for you,
'Tis for you to cry upon
I've broadened it just for you,
Cry, until your tears are gone.
Stop the pain, you say
Stop the madness inside.
I'm trying, I really am
Trust me, I'm on your side.
Dear friend, stop that worry
Dear friend, feel no pain
Dear friend, I am here now
My dear friend, you've much to gain.
Life has much to offer
Life has much to give
Life has much to show you
One catch: to earn you must live.
Stay with me, you say
And stay with you I shall
I will be here for you tonight
After all, we're friends and pals.
