Dear Ben, When I reached the part about Tutankhamen having a double, my heart almost stopped beating. You know that I am a down-to-earth kind of guy and an engineer. BUT ... Here is the cause of my deep surprise. When I was a young man I did various youth oriented service for my parish church, including training the altar boys, leading the youth choir and being the scoutmaster of the Boy Scout troop. There were twins in my scout troop. I met them when they were 14. They were probably identical twins (from the same ovum), but I'm not certain of that. With difficulty I learned to distinguish their faces first, after about a year of knowing them, and eventually could distinguish them by seeing just the back of a head, or hearing a voice, but it took years before I could do that. I never learned to tell them apart by looking at a crotch or a butt or other views of their bodies. Here is the punch line. By the time they were 18, they looked EXACTLY like the gold death mask of the face of Tutankhamen! I had always understood that their was only one Tutankhamen. Now in your fiction, you have introduced TWO. And I knew them both! What a shock. How could you know there were two? They are about 65 years old now.

PPS from Ben Boxer: He sharpens his teeth daily. He took shaving lessons from the sheep that trim the grass on Boston Common. Even so, "nibble trims" are quite uncommon in Boston. Bostonians are frugal, however; so be prepared to supply your own cream. George will show you how to whip up a good batch.
