We should note that it was Christopher Isherwood's Berlin novels, "Mr. Norris Changes Trains" and "Goodbye to Berlin" from which the material of "I am a Camera" was taken.

Let's hope this isn't true!

At his wedding reception, the young groom's granddad congratulated his grandson and said: "The secret to enjoying a long and happy marriage, is to listen to each other at all times, respect each other's wishes and to try and have sex in moderation. That way, your marriage will last as long as your grandma's and mine has."

Thanking him for his advice, the grandson said: "What's sex like then when you get older, granddad?"

His granddad looked at his grandson, smiled and said: "Just like trying to play pool with a piece of rope!"

Subject: Three actors, and a new category

With respect to two of the male actors below, I am establishing a new category in our growing list of famous gay notables for people who have admitted to homosexual behavior even if they deny their being bisexual.

The category would also include those who certain evidence indicates may have engaged in homosexual acts for whatever reason, like President Abraham Lincoln who enjoyed an intimate, live-in relationship with another man for many years, where it was known they slept in the same bed and hugged and kissed aplenty. That would also include Walt Whitman as nobody ever got the goods on him directly although if it takes one to know one, he were US!

Anthony Quinn, a beauty who was much respected in the industry, died today, 3 June 2001, at the age of 86. He once admitted that in his youth he played on our side of the bed and loved it, but turned to women for "permanency." We in the Silverfoxes Syndrome could have taught him a thing or two about that.

Alain Delon, present age 65, French film star and entrepreneur---now hustling his Samourai Perfume in France, Japan, and elsewhere---has been married twice and involved with many women, but he also at one point in his life admitted to sleeping with men early in his career, perhaps, or probably, to get ahead. In 1958, under the direction of gay Italian director Luchino Visconti, he acted on stage for the first time in, "Dommage qu'elle soit une putain" ('Tis a Pity She's a Whore) in which he did not play the whore, but considering his motivation for sucking cock, or vice versa.....

In 1960, Delon became a cinema star under the direction of gay French film director René Clément, with "Plein Soleil," adapted from the novel "Monsieur Ripley" by Patricia Highsmith which has been remade as "The Talented Mr. Ripley." I preferred the first one, at which time I lived in Delon's hometown of Sceaux and saw him in the flesh with Clement, looking like a couple. Delon followed that film in 1961 with "Rocco and His Brothers," playing a prizefighter (boxing was a passion of Delon's youth, along with a couple of hot boxers), again under the direction of the gay Visconti. He must have been a busy young man with these older gay directors because he was also romantically involved with the lovely Viennese actress, Romy Schneider, whom I adored.

Romy Schneider (not related to Maria Schneider, a lesbian, who starred with Marlon Brando in "Last Tango in Paris") made a couple of films with German heartthrob Horst Buccholz, who used to make me cream my jeans. Buccholz was unequivocally and admittedly gay, although the public didn't know it then, and has lived with a male lover in Paris and Berlin for the past 40 years.

I had a wild crush on him for ten years, starting in the 1950s. As a teenager, I got so hot in a dark movie house watching Buccholz in a film called "Mon P'tit" that I let the silverfox sitting next to me, who had been fondling my knee, give me a passionate blowjob to which I responded with a load that nearly drowned him. I loved Buccholz running around in his underwear in Billy Wilder's comedy about introducing Coca-Cola to Germany after WW II, "One-Two-Three." I once saw him dining with Romy Schneider in a restaurant in Paris, couldn't eat a morsel from nervous frustration, and went home and damn near beat myself to death fantasizing about being in bed between them.

The last film I saw Buccholz in was Roberto Benigni's "Life is Beautiful," in which he played the German Dr. Lessing, looking very silverfoxy at 67. Attached is a montage of the three actors, with a snapshot tacked on next to Horst Buccholz showing me as I looked when the old guy blew me in the cinema. Hee hee!

In 1950 I wasa naieve Page Boy at NBC in New York. One Sunday moring I was manning the VIP elevator at it`s studios. Anne Sherididdan and Cardinal Spellman were to be on the same talk show. (She was the most beautiful woman I have everbeen inches from. No make-up, beaaitiful dark red hair and every strand in place and georgious complexion), as the two started to enter the elevator the Cardinal said beauty before age, my dear. She replied, no your Eminence, "ladies first". He giggled and enteredbefore her. Told the story in the locker room later and with lots laughter, those there said "didn`t you know he is Queer? Hell I didn`t know if I was, butshe (Anne) a real beauty
