Hi List,
I forwarded the "uses for coke" e-mail to a friend and this is part of his reply:

"However, one of the uses of coke syrup which you omitted (and may be of great interest to drag queens) is that if a stage floor is washed with it, although the stage still shines - it is not slippery. Now I know that normally one prefers it slippy, but if you are dancing on stage, it is preferable NOT to land arse over tit."

Items from comic Rodney Lee's newsletter today:

(1)
What happens when a president gets elected in a year with a "0" at the end?

1840: William Henry Harrison (Died in Office)
1860: Abraham Lincoln (Assassinated)
1880: James A. Garfield (Assassinated)
1900: William McKinley (Assassinated)
1920: Warren G. Harding (Died in Office)
1940: Franklin D. Roosevelt (Died in Office)
1960: John F. Kennedy (Assassinated)
1980: Ronald Reagan (Survived Assassination Attempt)

And to think that we've had two guys duking it out in the courts to be the one elected in 2000!

Hey fellow foxhunters, what do you guys think about "Boston Public" acter Fyvush Finkel? He is easily my favorite silverfox actor or celebrity for the matter. The first time I saw him was on reruns of "Picket Fences". I immediately fell in love. So I was very happy to see him return in the new Fox show "Boston Public".

As Adam Sandler once said,"what a fine looking Jew!"

Subject: Police chief apologizes

Ben Boxer comments: Somebody asked me if I had a hard-on for religious people. I had to tell the truth. I don't. I have a hard-on for people who proclaim themselves to be followers of a religion that claims its basis, its god, is "love," and then brutalize others on orders from the same deity.

That the police chief (!) now apologizes for his earlier remarks is commendable, even if it's an expedient political lie. What gets me is the "Christian ministry Web site" which actually SOLD the homophobic talk he gave to "Christian" police officers. I would be more impressed if he had led a raid on the "ministry" and had seized and burnt the offending tapes and charged the sellers with a federal hate crime. Until it comes to that, my hard-on stays where it is.

Headline:
Portland, Ore., police chief apologizes for antigay remarks
(The Advocate, 12/14/00)

Text:
The police chief of Portland, Ore., apologized at a public forum Monday night for antigay comments he made a decade ago, The Oregonian reports. Mark Kroeker told about 100 people at a forum at the Metropolitan Community Church of Portland that he regretted his comments. I am very sorry for the effect that my words have had on this community, Kroeker said. The chief had been taped making antigay comments 10 years ago to a gathering of Christian police officers. Tapes of the talk had been sold on a Christian ministry Web site. The paper said that Kroeker skirted questions at times, saying he would not talk about his religious beliefs. This time has been without a doubt a substantial crisis for me personally, Kroeker said. The person you see and hear helped to build peace around this world and wants to build peace in this community. I will do this with every energy that I have.
